That means we are no longer managing your website for you, however, it is hosted on our fast and secure servers, still. But it’ll be up to you to keep it updated and any site changes you want to make. You are also able to use support time at our support rate of $125/hr (or buy discounted bulk hours) if you would like us to help out still. It’s just that nothing is included anymore. Lastly, you had the Privacy Policy service for legal compliance and it’s $10/mo ($30/mo hosting + $10/mo Privacy Policy =$40/mo total). Did you want to keep that? If you remove it then the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions are auto-removed from your website. Let me know if you’d like to keep it or remove it. How would you rate my reply? You have your domain name and email hosted on IONOS, but no website hosting is handled by them. If you are paying IONOS for website hosting you are able to cancel that and never needed it, but I doubt that is set up. If you cancel service with us, the site will go down, yes, or you would need to migrate the website to a new website host. We’ve enjoyed working with you over the years and do have a “hosting only” service option that will keep your site on WP Engine servers, but all of the maintenance and support will be up to you. You do get a discounted hosting price if set up through us. Here’s the cost breakdown for that, also w/ optional but recommended services for that (billed annually): WP Engine Starter hosting – $300/yr ($60/yr off) [required] Smart Plugin Manager – $100/yr [optional, highly recommended] Page Speed Boost – $200/yr [optional, highly recommended] Site Monitoring – $50/yr [optional] So the cost would be $300/yr minimum, up to $650/yr maximum. The reason we highly recommend Smart Plugin Manager is because that can handle plugin and theme updates automatically, which covers a portion of the maintenance for you. Right now, as I view my expenses, the cost of paying IONOs and you is too expensive for where the school is currently at.
